help me please, my cd/dvd rw is driving me nuts

Default help me please, my cd/dvd rw is driving me nuts

in my devices, i have two cd/dvd roms, one is the rom the other is a phillips
dvd=rw dvd8631. when i check the properties of the latter it says device is
working properly, the problem is, the drive wont even so much as open, i
tried to update drivers, it says there are no updates, i try to roolback the
drivers and it says there are none backed up, can someone please for the love
of all that is good in this world please help me?

If you're saying that the drawer won't physically open, you may need to
replace the drive.

Try this: Unfold a paper clip and stick the end into the little hold on
the outside of the drive. That will usually force the tray to open. If
you have to do this every time in order to open the tray, you need to
replace the drive.

You need to take it easy. It's only a CD drive.
