Stupid shutdown message
I went to shut down WinXP Media edition (with all updates) and I got
the following message: "Do not turn off or unplug your computer. Windows will shut down automatically." Yeah sure. It's been sitting there with that message for 2 hours now. It's on a Dell Inspiron notebook computer, so pulling the plug will only put it on battery and then when the battery runs down, then what? C-A-D does nothing. Stupid-ass message. I didn't do anything wrong. Another windows glich to add to my collection. |

Stupid shutdown message
Something to try:
Right click your desktop and select - New - Shortcut, In the next screen type - Shutdown.exe -s -t 00 Name it Shutdown. This creates an Icon on your desktop and if you right click it you can change Icon and choose another Icon you like. "46erjoe" wrote in message ...
