Default Copying Pictures to CD as Backup

I've notice that when jpg files are copied to a CD they lose some of the
meta-tags. When copied back to the hard drive, they cannot be "viewed" by
"Date Picture Taken."
Is there a way to save back up pictures without losing that ability?

i burned a cd just now to test that and it kept the 'date picture taken
on' data

right click status bar that has "Name","Size","Type",so on and you
should get a menu like this -
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...icturedate.jpg
select "more..." and then look for "date picture taken" and enable it.
