Default Where is the Photo Printing Wizard Folder

When I print a fax or a photo I am taken to the photo printing wizard which
loads many many images. Some are clip art, some are web page banners, some
are old documents.

I would like to clean out this folder but can't find it on my hard drive.

What is the folder name and is there any harm in cleaning it out? Are the
items in the folder duplicates?

Thanks!

Are you printing from a specific program, or from Windows Explorer?

Does the wizard window give any hint what program it's part of?

There are various programs that maintain catalogs of photos; for example,
Picasa, Corel, Photoshop. Have you installed any software like that? Or
could it have been pre-installed when you got your PC? Or could you have
come with your printer or camera? It's possible one of these has taken over
the Print function.

With this information about your software setup, it'll hopefully be easy to
figure out how to make your life easier.

Depending on the software involved, the catalog may not be in a folder. It
may be a separate hidden database the software keeps; the database using
pointers to the photo files that are scattered about in the file system.

As for Windows XP FAX, you can find the folder you saved incoming FAXes
and outgoing FAXes, opening FAX console-Tools-FAX printer configuration-
Save Tab such as;
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
NT\MSFax\Inbox
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
NT\MSFax\SentItems.

Default Where is the Photo Printing Wizard Folder

Thanks for the reply!

When I am printing from Windows Fax it opens the Windows Photo Printing
Wizard. That is where I am seeing all of the extra images.

I use Picasa but the images I am seeing are not photos that I have stored in
Picasa.

I don't have Photoshop or Corel.

The images are mostly clip art, web page banners and old faxes. I know how
to delete old faxes.

This is just a nuisance, doesn't interfere with function. I would rather
delete files that have no actual purpose. I don't know if these images are
duplicates stored in a Photo Printing Wizard file or, if they are just
pointers to files that are saved in other folders.

Thanks Again!

Thanks for the reply.

I am able to clear out my old faxes. What I am seeing are images (clip
art/web page banners..)

I did go into the fax folders you recommended and verfied that the extra
images weren't in either the incoming or sent folders.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I have the exact same problem. All the images I see are old faxes
which have been deleted a very long time ago.

Funny thing is that I could still print out these images through the
Fax and Photo Print Wizard. With each new fax I receive, it adds it to
the list, I have over 1500, and it gets longer and longer to load the
wizard.

Haven't found a solution yet.

Default Found a Solution

This finally worked for me.

Windows Explorer - Documents and Settings - Owner (check the others
as well) - Local Settings

Empty the Temp and Temporary folders.

This will empty the lingering junk we see in the MS Photo and Fax
Viewer.

At least it worked for me.
