I broke the default command for Folders...
Some program I installed apparently changed the default context
command for folders in the Windows Explorer, and when I tried to reverse this change, I found myself trapped with a really annoying glitch: Now, whenever I'm browsing a directory tree in the Windows Explorer, entering a directory causes a new window to open, even though the settings are configured so that each folder should open in the same window. At least this is somewhat better than having the default command for a folder be "find", causing me to open a search window whenever I click on a folder. What is worst is that I can't seem to delete or modify these commands from the Folder Settings in explorer. I found the place where they're stored in the registry, but I don't know enough to restore the original settings. Can someone tell me what I should do so that "open" is the default command for a folder, and that it causes the Windows Explorer to open the folder in the same window? I'd presume that I need to set it to execute explorer.exe with some kind of command line argument, but I have no idea what it is... --Aran |

Thanks, the .reg file was exactly what fixed it. Now the folders are properly associated with the explorer again. |
