Program files folder access is denied
I have an older Sony Vaio PC that's running XP. Its HD is divided into a 30G
C drive and a 50G D drive for storage. For the past couple of years I've been sucessfully downloading programs into the D drive in order to keep the C drive from filling up. A few weeks ago the D drive program files folder stopped allowing new program files to be written to it and no longer allows me to uninstall programs that have files in the folder. Nor can I manually delete its files or sub folders. I get "access is denied" error messages. There's 40G of space left on the D drive, mine is the only user account and I'm set as the the computer administrator. Could someone please help me figure out what is wrong? |
