Default Windows Installing Office 2003

I moved my XP Home Ed PC from one room to another. When I turned it on and
opened Outlook, a window came up indicating Windows was installing Office
2003. Then it errored saying file(s) could not be located. It only did this
when I initially clicked on Send/Receive. I found CD and put it in drive and
the install issue went away with OL.

However, the same window comes up every time I install my computer. With CD
in drive it continues and finally finishes w/o erroring. I ran repair on
Office 2003 with no resolution. Then I removed and reinstalled with no change.

Next I installed Windows Installer 3.1 with no impact.

Although this issue is not a heart breaker, it's a nuisance. Any hellp in
resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

If you have Windows XP, then log in to Windows as Administrator, start
an Office program, accept the EULA, close the Office program, log out of
Windows as Administrator, and log back in to Windows using your normal
user profile.

If you have Windows Vista, then right-click on an Office program
shortcut, choose to run the Office program as Administrator, accept the
EULA, close the Office program, and then start the Office program normally.

If the previous suggestion doesn't help, then see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=884202 "You must accept the Office
End User License Agreement every time that you start an Office program

Just by installing Windows Installer 3.1 does not fix the Office 2003
issues. You need to locate and install the Windows Installer
Cleaner. Then, remove the Outlook / Office 2003 "entry" and then
reinstall the Office 2003 with all the options you need. XP's Windows
Installer "database" entries can be corrupted. One of the "accepted"
methods to fix this is to remove the "affected" entries and then re-
install the required program.
