Default Change Bell sound

Hi, I want to change the annoying bell sound that comes default with
Win8. You can hear the one I mean by typing echo ^G in command-prompt.

Do you know where these settings are?

If Windows doesn't think there is a regular audio device
to send a notification sound to, it reverts to using
the computer case (or motherboard) beeper. If that's what
you're hearing, check that Device Manager is not missing
a driver, and also check that the sound setup has a place to
sent output (speaker or headphone selection).

Hi Paul,

I'd rather here a motherboard beep than a blast through the speakers.

Take a look through this article.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ds-change.html

What the newer OSes add to the sound model, is per-application
volume control.

http://www.eightforums.com/sound-aud...ume-mixer.html

Much of the old controls are also still there.
And this menu, is your starting point to discovering most
everything.
