Default Removing the words "Shortcut to" when making a shortcut

Removing the words "Shortcut to" when making a shortcut. How do I do
this? I know there is a setting for this SOMEWHERE......

I usually just rename the shortcut after creating it.

Download and install TweakUI for Windows XP.
It will do that and lots more that you will like.
It's almost a necessity for XP and only 146 kb.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer
Change the value "Link" to 00 00 00 00

Yep, I do that all the time, but I should not have to do that. I was
able to stop that in Win98, but that was years ago, I cant rememeber
how. I got Tewak-UI, but am not finding a setting for this issue in it.
