Thanks charliec Click on the Windows orb (lower left on the Task Bar) and enter Disk Cleanup. Click on Disk Cleanup to start the process or Start Menu/Accesories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup The program will first perform a calculation for the basic cleaning, then provide a summary in a dialog box (to check/uncheck items) and an additional option to 'Clean up System Files'. Selecting the 'System Files' option will rerun the calculation and include System Files. Thanks, winston, I will give it a look. charliec |

Had a major concern during the operation as it took one heck of a long time when the system restarted and it was going thru it cleanup process to remove files, etc - well over 25 minutes! So, I was really concerns that something may have broken on my system during the process. A couple of cleanup pages set there forever - had me really worried. But, it finished and the system appears to be working fine! I was just not aware the process would take so long. But, let's see how it goes. Thanks |

Thanks charliec I have two physical hard drives, each divided into two partitions. I open My Computer, select a logical drive (a partition), right-click, and select Properties. On the General tab of the Properties window, there is a button Disk Cleanup. Is this what you want? I found what I needed. But thanks1 |
