Can anyone please tell me a group that covers Google Gmail?
Hi all,
Can anyone please tell me a group that covers Google Gmail? I have just started using Gmail with the Gmail inbox I am in some Yahoo groups that I send individual mails to, Yahoo is set to send me individual mails back but in Gmail inbox they end up in a digest type list! Is there a way of having the inbox display them as individual emails please? Mick.

AT&T provides my Email service, and at the time I used Thunderbird. I created a new Folder with the group name, and then used Thunderbird's filtering rules to move any Emails from that group to the group Folder. It seems like when I subscribed to that group I had the option of having the the Emails sent in a digest form, that covered a certain time period, or have each individual post to that group sent as soon as it was posted.

I don't believe that gmail changes yahoo group mail items into a digest; I believe it is more likely that something is wrong with the mechanism by which your yahoo group mail is configured that is causing it to be put into a digest instead of individually. That is, it may be your *intention* to receive individual items, but in reality you are receiving digest NOT caused by gmail's handling. However, that being said, it is a 'feature' of gmail that your OWN mails to the yahoo group are not seen as items received from the yahoo listserv. -- Mike Easter

I'm not sure how I got out of it (HATED IT) but I'm back to the regular interface, where you can have messages threaded in "Conversation view," or unthreaded (turn conversation view off in your settings, and Mick IOW pointed out.)
