Default MSN Messenger 5

I have Windows 98SE. I downloaded MSN Messenger from the
MS wesite and it installed and asked me to reboot the
machine. It never asked me to verify my email address.
Ususally I would get an email back asking me to click on
a link verfy my email address and select a password.

Where can I go to do the email verification ?
