Default HP LaserJet 4050 from XP

We recently were troubleshooting some slow print times on
a networked LJ4050, and did a network trace of a print
job. It showed the pc sending out a whole lot of extra
data to the print server, such as Monotype Corporation
font copyright info and history!!! Anyone heard of this
before? It is really slowing things down. Using the same
drivers in W2k produces files significantly smaller
without the extra stuff. Any suggestions would be great!

Where did you get the driver from? Is it inbox driver driver or from HP web
site/CD. Was your system clean install or upgrade? What font(s) are you
using in your document. Specifically, do you know which font causes this to
happen?
