I have a new HP all in one printer,etc psc1210 xi. I
cannot install the unit because I get an error message
that says "the RPC server is unavailable". Does anyone
know anything about this and how I can fix it. Thanks

The error message is often the result of the Print spooler not running.
From a command prompt, type

net start spooler
