NDISWANIP key lost in XP Professional
Running XP pro with the latest patches. At boot time I
get this message (event ID 4191) in the system event log: "IP could not open the registry key for adapter TCPIP\Parameters\Adapters\NDISWANIP. Interfaces on this adapter will not be initialized." When I update tcpip configuration on the local connection, the changes take effect but are not visible the next time I open the propertes window. MSDN library has a workround for this for Windows 2000, but this will not work in XP. Any suggestions? Thanks |
