Default codec problem when playing .mpg

I made a .mpg video using pinacle 8 and it will not play
in windows media player. The error I get is "Windows
Media Player cannot play the file. The file may be
formatted with an unsupported codec, or the Internet
security setting on your computer is set too high. Lower
your browser's security setting, and then try again."
Can any one help. Thanks

Sloan
