I have a home network, is there a way I can monitor what
my children are doing from my computer?

Don't let kids have PCs in their bedrooms. If your kids are young
enough that they need to be monitored, then park their PCs in
the most public place in your house and make sure your kids know
that you adults have the right to and will look over their shoulders.

What "young enough" means is up to you; I suggest 21, or maybe when
they are self-supporting.
