Unwanted My Music/My Picture folders

After admittedly quite a bit of file/folder rearranging (blue screen of
death - new HD), I have several stray My Picture and My Music folders where
I don't want them. Of course, they all reappear after a simple delete or
trip to the Trash Bin. Is there any way to cause these default (I guess)
folders to disappear, permanently.
