Whenever I run disk defragmenter I get the message that some files could not
be defragmented, however when I view the report it shows no files that could
not be defragmented. Also, whenever I run this program I have no other
programs open.

Thank you for the prompt reply, however as I orginally stated there are no

David,

"there are no files in use when I run defrag." Aren't you forgetting
about the Windows operating system files and services? Also, if you click
"View Report", you may get a sense of what files are not getting
defragmented.

You might want to run the defragmenter in Safe Mode and see if it gets some
of the files that would not clean up in normal mode.
