I upgraded to Adobe Reader DC and find it is much faster than the
previous couple of versions. Especially when entering text into the
comments.

I do have a problem with the new DC version. Is there a way to lock
the hand pointer so that when you move the mouse wheel it only moves
through the page, and does not zoom the text?

Look in your mouse settings.

My mouse has no settings to make the scroll wheel zoom, only a way to
modify the scrolling behavior, but if I press the control button while
rotating the mouse wheel, I get zoom. In Adobe & many other programs,
not all.

Have you a need to connect to Adobe Document Cloud (which the DC version
provides).

No I don't like clouds they bring death and destruction like tornadoes
and Hurricanes.

I have all of my date on my hard drive and have no need for online
storage. If I get a tablet or android phone, I will use it just like my
brief case, make sure the needed data is on my tablet before I leave my
desktop.

However I use PDF files for nearly everything I want to archive, so
really like the new faster Adobe DC.
