Retrieving Information from a Hard drive in XP
Windows XP went haywire and wouldn't let me boot up. I
bought a new computer with a new drive and installed my old drive as a slave so I could retreive files and emails and stuff like that. When I first tried to recover stuff it told me that access is denied to my folder. Once it asked me for the administrator's password but wouldn't accept it when entered. I have now had to disconnect the slave because I get an error message about having two operating systems. My question is: Is there a way for me to get my stuff off the old drive? Thanks, Mike |

The second operating system should be ignored unless you tried a few things getting to those files... -- Sharon F MS MVP - Windows XP Shell/User |
