Default sharing a printer

I selected sharing in the printer properties but the
printer does not show up as a network device on my other
pc's. When I share files and folders, they show up as
expected. How do I get the printer to show up too?

Since the network appears to be configured correctly and you can see the
files and folders on the other PCs, let's have a look at the Sharing
Properties on the Printer.

Go to the Control Panel and doubleclick on Printers & Faxes. Right click on
the printer in question and select Properties. Click on the Sharing tab.

Ensure that the shared name of the printer is no longer than 12
characters/numbers and there are no spaces in that name. Ensure also that
there are no illegal characters in it, including, but not limited to _, -
and *. (And that you haven't acidentally put a space at the end of the
shared name!)

If the Properties of the Printer has a Security tab, take a look in there.
You can set properties as to just which Users have the ability to use the
printer.

If the other Users are Limited Users, you might want to take a look at Bruce
Sanderson's excellent article about how to install a network printer for ALL
Users...:
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/NetPrinterAllUsers.htm

Hope this helps
