Default Turning off Windows XP fax service

Can someone please tell me how to turn off the fax
service? I no longer need it and it's coming on when I
get a phone call. Thanks in advance.

Go to Printers and Faxes, select the fax printer, right click and select
Properties, go to Devices, select your modem, click Properties, on the
Receive tab, either remove the checkmark from the Enable Device to Receive
checkbox, or change the answer mode from Automatic to Manual.
