Default Microsoft Shared Fax Client ERROR

I have a system that had been running Windows ME for
severl years. I recently upgraded to Windows XP Home
Edition. The up grade worked fine.

After several weeks I took the system back to the shop to
have a larger hard drive installed, partioned and the old
hard drive cloned to the new hard drive.

Beacause it is a Compaq system, the technician had
problems trying to clone the drive with XP installed. He
reverted back to ME and sucessfully completed the cloning.

The technician then attempted to upgrade from ME to XP
again. Unlike the first time it was upgraded, this time
the installer would stop and give an error indicating that
all of the "MICROSOFT SHARED FAX CLIENT" could not be
uninstalled and that you needed to manually unstall it
using the add/remove programs in the control panel. We
have looked in the add/remove programs, including windows
components and cannot find any such program. The
technician said that he does not know of any built in fax
capabilities in ME. Since ME is the current OS we can only
assume that the error was referencing the current OS and
not any parts of the previous upgrade that may have been
left when it was uninstalled.

Any help in getting this upgrade from ME to XP to work the
2nd time it is installed is appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe M. Miller
