Every time I hit 'send', I get the Microsoft message box
that says it has encountered a problem and do I want to
send Micrsoft an error report. Regardless of whether I say
yes or no, it shuts down my browser and will not send.
I've tried Mozilla/Netscape, Microsoft Outlook, and Pegasus
and get the same result. Any ideas?

Thanks

Jay

No, but thanks for trying. That's more than I get from
everyone else. The browser's blame Microsoft...Microsoft
blames the server(Verizon)...and the server blames the
browser. I've discovered that I can send e-mail from
Verizon's e-mail page, but from nowhere else...? And I
still can't send a post to a newsgroup.

For newsgroups, have you tried setting up a News account in OE for

msnews.microsoft.com ?

I assume that you have checked that you have entered the proper name in your
mail account for the outgoing (SMTP) mail server. You might try deleting
and retyping the whole entry. The same with your password. I really don't
think either of these will help, but they're easy to try.

What is your Operating System (Windows version)?
