Default Setting up a network and using a DSL modem

I'm trying to set up my network with a total of 3
computers. The main computer has a DSL modem connection
through the Ethernet port. For some reason, when I use
the USB connection, I get nothing on either computer.
Using the Ethernet, however, limits my ability to
interface the other PCs. Maybe I'm not even using the
correct terminology, but I hope you understand what I'm
trying to accomplish.

Josh,

there are several ways to solve this problem, but the best is to
buy a cheap WAN router, such as the SMC 7004 VBR, and use that
to connect the Internet DSL line with your three computers.
