Default Multiple/Identicle entries in my network places

I have peer-peer 'network' and one machince shows a shared
folder in it's correct place and also in other folders that
are shared on other machines. Folder x is found in folder
y's directory and elsewhere. can the extra entries be
deleted? Is there a way to 'refresh' the connection?

Yes, if the folders are listed in "my network places" you can delete them
