Default XP peer-peer file sharing works ,most of the time

Sometimes a file that is shared on drive 'a' was changed
via one machine but later the changes arn't present on
another machine but the same file sometimes will show
those changes. they all have net user guest active. help?

Registry and other files are cached in memory for speed and flushed to the
disk when finished with. It sounds as if the file hasn't been flushed
properly.
