Default Uninstalling but still there!!!

I've had a few games/applications installed on my
computer. When i've went to uninstall them it deletes
everything but still leaves the name of the program in the
add/remove bit. The remaining part wont delete, very
annoying as it fills up the page with stuff which aint
there. How do i solve this problem? Cheers

Are you uninstalling them correctly?
If you use their own uninstall utility or Add/Remove programs and the
applications are not in use at all, that reference should be gone.

Reinstall the applications.
Reboot
Then uninstall them one at a time.
Otherwise contact the application manufacturer.

Hey, stuff happens. Let's hope this is the worst problem you ever have with
a computer.

You could edit the registry directly to remove the leftovers, but there's a
better way: TweakUI is a Microsoft 'powertoy' that lets you change portions
of the interface that you would otherwise have to edit the registry to get
at. Among many other capabilities, TweakUI will make it easy to remove
entries in 'Add or Remove' left behind after uninstalls. I don't usually
approve of 'tweaking' tools, but this one comes from Microsoft, although
Microsoft does not support it.
