Default troubleshoot startup problems

I have been having a problem with my computer "hanging"
for about 2 minutes after startup. It works, but not
properly. After about two minutes the drivers load and
everything works fine. Is there any method of
troubleshooting this type of problem in windows xp to
determine what is causing this to occur?
