Default Internet Explorer

I updraded from Windows 98 to XP, I formatted the disk when I upgraded. But
everytime I try to access the Internet explorer I get a Debug Message,
whether I select Debug or not, a couple minutes later I get a message saying
the computer will shut down in 60 seconds. Willappreciate all the help and
suggestions.

When you say you upgraded from 98 to XP did you perform this through the gui?
Also you said you formatted the HD when you upgraded. Can you be more
specific with the Details.

Thanx

Kory

When I installed the new disk I followed the steps and was prompted whether I
wanted to format the hard disk (section?) I cliked Yes. The installation went
without a problem. I can not download any updates, because of the system
shutdown. At times on IE taskbar you can see the word done for the web site
but the page is blank. I hope this is a little more helpfull.
Thanks
