I know this isn't the right forum for product questions, but I am hoping
someone can point me towards a more appropriate forum for things like this:

when I am looking for products, I am not always sure which features will
work best for me and I would like the benefit of others' experience. For
example, right now, I am looking for an optical mouse--I've heard wireless
can be a hassle so is not necessary, but I'm not sure if there are any
advantages to getting one that fits into a USB port rather than a PS/2. The
ball mouse I have goes into a PS/2 and I would just as soon not use up my USB
ports, but there may be some advantage to the USB "mice."

I also have questions about camera battery rechargers, etc. Any idea which
forums can best address product info?

Many thanks.

Did you try searching with Google for product forums?

Penni,

As one use to another, I would highly recommend the purchase of an Optical
mouse, as they are much easier to use than the regular ball mouse, you can
now purchase these mice at almost any outlet that sells computer products..,
for example, I just recently purchased a new optical mouse (Microsoft) at
Walmart; the cost was only $19.00, plus tax.

As to the other items that you mentioned, I'm not quite sure what your
looking for, but do recommend the Microsoft Optical mouse.

Hope this helps.
