Default will not boot

My computer will not reboot. I have to manually cut it off and back on. Don't
know why.

No luck. Mine shuts down fine but it will not restart. I tried some of the

When you say it doesn't reboot what exactly happens? How far do you get into
the restart process?

Please allow me to expand

You apparently get power, since you have to manually cut it off.

do you see anything on your monitor?

What to you see? This is important, because we need to know if the boot is
crapping out in the BIOS or after the BIOS has completed and the operating
system has started to load.

If it is failing in the BIOS where is it failing in the BIOS?
Please tell us what you see on the screen when it hangs?

If it has started to load the operating system, how far does it get with
that?

Can you start in safe mode?

Todd

It fixed itself somehow. This case can be closed.

I'd urge you to backup your important data and run some diagnostics on the
drive to ensure it is in good shape. Something was causing the system not to
reboot and if the problem was occurring before Windows loads then it might
reappear.

That is the wise move if he would like to be safe, agreed Harry.
