Default Freeze for a few seconds and occassionally hibernation problems

Hi,

Thanks for your advises for the following issues:

(1) Hibernation problem: Occasionally, I'd have hibernation problem and
that's after wake up from hibernation, the screen turns to blank (black) and
nothing will be displayed. I had to restart Windows, and only when I choose
to "delete saved hibernation data" will Windows operate normally or it will
continue to have a blank (black) screen. No error message nor blue screen.

However, I found this situation mostly happened when I removed attached
external devices (such as USB mouse, or drive) after putting system to
hibernation.

So my question is, is it normal and is it because I removed the external
devices which caused the problem?

(2) System freezes for a few seconds: Every now and then, when I switched
to different application window, the system will freeze for a few seconds,
and then back to normal. I have been using this Dell laptop for almost 4
years, and my recollection is that it was not like this before.

For the hardware part, I upgraded to larger HDD and increased the amount of
RAM and wondering if these have anything to do with the problem.

(3) Adjust IE window size for "Open in New Window" link: By the way, does
anyone know how to adjust window size when click "Open in New Window" link?
It is now about 2/3 of the entire screen size, and I wish it to be 100% of
page size as I clicked the IE icon on the desktop.

Thanks again.
