Does your laptop provide support for a PS/2. What is the make and model?

Look at the manual that came with your laptop. If you didn't get a
manual, then look in the laptop's Start Menu since most laptop mftr.'s
put the manual on the hard drive. Failing that, go to the laptop
mftr.'s tech support website for your specific model laptop. The manual
will be there.

Most likely not possible. Most new laptops have no PS2 ports, only USB
ports...

New laptop + old keyboard. No mix. Chances are good that your laptop
does not have a ps/2 port. There are only two options. PS2 to usb
adaptor (not recommended). Usb keyboard.

My laptop is a dell inspiron E1505. I cannot find a port to accept the type
a keyboard I bought (from dell on the same order).

I have looked at the manual on the hard drive, but can't find anything on
external keyboard installation/attachment.
I'll try the tech support. Thank you.
