Your ISP that provides you Internet connection can help you set up Outlook
Express with the correct entries. Only your ISP can tell you this
information.

By the way, please don't use all caps when you post ... it is harder to read
and is considered 'SHOUTING'.

There is a vast number of Usenet, tens of thousands, though your ISP is
unlikely to carry all. This microsoft.public.windowsxp.basic newsgroup is a
de facto Usenet newsgroup, and can be reached using Outlook Express. You
will require information from your ISP to set this up.

For questions about using Outlook Express, the best newsgroup is
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress .

Welcome to the MS newsgroups. In your next post, use mixed case. Typing in
all capital letters is considered shouting and rude. I know you didn't
know, but I'm telling you for the future so you won't get flamed.

The pop3 and smtp servers are your Internet Service Provider's (ISP) mail
servers. Go to your ISP's homepage and look for Help/Email Setup or the
like. They will have the names of the servers there and perhaps even a
"walkthrough" to set up OE.

"Mate" is just fine. Considering some of the abuse that's handed out here,
I'm thrilled with "mate". I even got a "thank you" which is always much
appreciated.

Glad to help, RAY0711. Post back if you need any more help.

Agreed on 'mate' being a softer term of endearment than some give out.. I
made the same mistake aways back as I remember.. stay safe..

I made it, Phil. Now, how do I cross-post? I read someone's
instructions on that but I'm a blind user and could not see the images
described.

thanks.
