You could try here and see if there is a newsgroup for WMP

http://www.aumha.org/nntp.php

Do you realise that SP1 is unsupported on 10 Oct 2006 - better get SP2 on
your system quick plus the 60+ other criticals since then.
Then you may need the services of windowsupdate group :-)

Thanks antioch

Actually I sent a message to "microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player" But
haven't had any replies yet.

Thank's for the other info aswell. Still up for a quick fix though, if
anyone else has had a similiar problem and knows how to resolve it.

Default WMP 10 problems with .wav files

Hi p.mc again

(Extra info)

It seems that it only happens on a .wav file within these parameters
("mono 16bit") Wheras "mono 8bit"..."stereo 8bit"...and !stereo 16bit" all
work perfectly.
Hope this may help in aiding my conundrum.

If you look at my earlier reply to you will notice that I snipped out;

Actually I sent a message to "microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player"
But haven't had any replies yet.

And that was in my second post after "anitoch" suggested;

snip
(anitoch wrote)

That was to let him know I'd already posted in a dedicated N/G (actually the
one you had suggested) but wasn't getting any advice there. This information
was added before you kindly tried to help me so I'm confused. Did you read
the posts fully, and in order, or did the first three posts not show
at your end?
