Default NO SOUND!!?? PLEASE HELP

I have no sound! i have backdated my pc, checked all the connections, but i
cant figure out why i have no sound...I did a few days ago! the little sound
icons are not in the taskbar anymore and when press "mute" on my keyboard, i
am told there is no functioning sound device on my computer...?? WHATS GOING
ON? someone please help me, i will be soooo grateful!!!

Open Device Manager and see if there are any items with yellow triangels
beside them - this indicates an error.

check your services to make sure that the "Windows Audio" service is started.
