Default Custom Form Page Size Does Not Show

Hi,

I know that creating a new custom form has worked for other people, but once
I create a new form page size using the "Server Properties" function, it does
not show up anywhere in any of my printer properties tabs or in any of my
page setup or print setups in Word. I'm running XP Professional SP2 and
"trying" to use a Lexmark 2490 Forms Printer.

Anyone have any suggestions??? Please help!

I read somewhere in another forum how someone may have used a workaround by
setting up a new local printer by using the "Create A New Port" function and
specify the printer as "\\MyPC\MyPrinter" but I tried that it I can't get
that to work either. But then again, I may not completely understand this
work around. Maybe someone could give me a more detailed instruction on this
one.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Not really sure what you're trying to tell me here, except I noticed you
changed the back slashes to forward slashes. I'm really looking for step by
step on using the "Create A New Port" function because I'm not sure I know
all the correct steps.

the new form size must reside on the print server. You can create local
forms all day and they will not be associated with a printer connection.

Ask the server admin to add the form, delete the current connection, add the
connection back.

This is with the assumption that the new form size fits within the
CUSTOM_SIZE parameter in the print description file.
