Windows Explorer - Folders Explorer Bar - Network Drives

Sometimes when a folder is selected in the right hand pane, the parent folder
in the Folders Explorer Bar is expanded. Other times the parent folder will
be collapsed and only show the selected folder. Is there a setting for
leaving a folder collapsed in the Folders Explorer Bar?
