Default Automatic Updates de-activated

Running Windows XP SP2

My Automatic Updates has been de-activated (don't know how) but when I go to
Systems Properties to re-activate it, I can't. Both options are "greyed out"
and I can't alter either of them.

Anybody any ideas how I can get it back to normal?

Regards,

Dave Cunningham

Hi Dave,

Automatic Updates options are greyed out:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/aupolicy.htm

Also, run a thorough system scan for virus/Malware.
