Default Taskbar hover labels look different

Somehow, when I was removing the PDFmaker tool from automatically loading in
Office, the font that appears in the bubbles that open when you hover over
the taskbar are in a weird font now. I'm not even sure the bubbles used to
open (I don't need them), but if they did they looked different---maybe
smaller.

Can anyone help me turn off the bubbles (or fix the font)?

Thanks,

To change the Text and Background colors on balloon tips.

Right click Desktop | Properties | Appearances tab |
Advanced button | Item: Tooltip |
Font: is the font
Size: is the point size of the font
Color 1: is the background color
Color: is the font color

Settings are stored he
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
Value Name: StatusFont

StatusFont stores information about the font used in status bars and
tooltips.
