Windows Start Sound
I boot right to the Desktop and do not logon or logoff, so I may have the
order of events incorrect. Probably not for the Start Windows sound because that sound is going to play before Windows knows who has logged on. One of these registry keys will set the Start Windows sound if nobody logs on. HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\.Defaul t\SystemStart\.Current or HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\.Defaul t\SystemStart\.Default I would think that the Windows Logon and Windows Logoff sounds could be set for different users. I have no first hand experience in this and some one will correct me if I am wrong I am sure. -- Hope this helps. Let us know.
