System Restore problem
In XP Pro SP2, I've tried to run System Restore Wizard and get a message "
System Restore Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for inconvenience", and then the chance to send the error report to Microsoft. Is it poss. that something in XP is corrupted? If so, how should I fix it? Thanks in advance for any advice. John |

Bert,
None of these suggestions worked. Would I be better to reinstall, or repair, XP do you think? John "J Bompas" wrote in message ... Many thanks for your helpful suggestions, Bert. System Restore problem
I've tried again, and been more careful, and switched off and restarted.
All is now well. I think I did a "restart" last time instead of switching off completely. Thanks. John "Gerry" wrote in message ... What are your anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall arrangements? Check the Event Viewer for any "sr" and "srservice" errors that may exist
and post them here.
