install software on XP?
Tried installing SEGA Sonic Heroes on our Home XP - I have Comuter Admin
privs - but after (what appeared to be a faultless install) it asked for me to be logged on as PC Admin! However I am the only user of this computer, & I believe my account has all of the admin privileges. Because I am the only user, I don't have to get a screen to click on my account to log in. ....D. |

install software on XP?
Hi,
To do that on a WinXP Home system, you must restart in Safe mode. The administrator account is not available in normal mode in a Home system. How to start in Safe mode: http://www.rickrogers.org/fixes.htm#Safe%20mode -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Morgan" wrote in message ...
