Open Internet Explorer, choose Tools | Options | Programs. Select Outllook as your default email client there.

I also have the problem that O.E. *cannot* be selected as the default e-mail program. It is not available as a selection under the Internet Explorer Tools, Programs menu, or under the O.E. Tools, Options menu where it is grayed out. But interestingly, O.E.
is listed as the Newsreader under I.E.'s settings, but grayed out in the O.E. Options for default setting. I'm baffled. I've tried searching .ini files and the registry, but alas, nothing helps. Any ideas? If so, please email and post here.
Thanks - George
