Sounds scheme
Tried to create my own sound scheme deleted it and now I
have no sound. I can listen to Real Player and Windows Media but I have no sound when Window's is booting up or when I'm closing programs. What did I do? And how do I fix it. Changing sound scheme to Windows default does not work either. |

Try using System Restore to take you back to a time prior to when this
began; Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore. If that fails to resolve it, go back to the same applet from which you deleted the scheme, from the dropdown list, choose Windows Default and click apply. You can then customize that as you wish. If Windows Default doesn't appear in the list, you can simply set sounds to the various actions as you wish, save the scheme and click apply. -- Michael Solomon MS-MVP Windows Shell/User Backup is a PC User's Best Friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ "Kathy" wrote in message ... Kathy,
It sounds like you're profile is corrupt. The only option is to create a new user profile and transfer your settings to the new profile and delete your old one. I spent over an hour online with Windows Tech Support, and that was the advice they gave me because they could not solve the problem. Here are the steps to transfer your profile: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=811151 "Kathy" wrote: Tried to create my own sound scheme deleted it and now I have no sound.
