Default installing backup on XP

XPHome using mfrs disk or restore partition of hard drive
valueadd folder can not be located.

XPPro using MS Disk valueadd folder and then msft folder
can be located but ntbakup is then nowhere in sight.

How then does one install MS Backup?

Default installing backup on XP

NTBackup does not exist on OEM CD.

[[If you are using a computer that an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
provided with a pre-installed copy of Windows XP, the Valueadd and Support
folders may not exist on your hard disk or on the recovery
CD-ROM that was included with your computer.

Among others, some of the utilities in this folder are USMT Command line
components, NTBACKUP]]

VALUEADD and SUPPORT Folders Are Not Included on OEM CD-ROMs

NTBackup should install automatically on XP Pro.
Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Backup

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntbackup.exe

On XP Pro CD it's not in the Value Add folder.
On XP Pro CD it's in
D:\I386\NTBACKUP.EX_

NTBACKUP.EX_ is the compressed version of NTBACKUP.EXE

Hope this helps. Let us know.
