Default How do I place a screen saver activation button on the quick launch bar?

I have Windows XP Professional. I had an activation
button for my screen saver on the quick launch bar. When
I installed Office 2003, the button disappeared. How do I
get it back?

Thanks in advance.

I'm asking how to make the shortcut. Someone did it for
me once: went to some folder and found an icon which when
clicked, activated the screensaver. I know I can Ctrl,
Alt, Delete and click Lock Computer and then the screen
saver will acivate when the alloted idle time elapses.
But, I'm looking for a way to activate the screen saver
with one click of the mouse.

find it there.

Right-click on your Desktop and select:
New Shortcut, then browse to the
C:\Windows\System32 folder. Chose
your desired screensaver, such as "sspipes.scr",
click next and finish.

I was able to place the shortcut, thanks to your
suggestions. But now, activating the screensaver doesn't
appear to lock the computer. Is there another setting I
need to adjust? Or do I have to wait some ammount of time
for the computer lock feature to engage?

No. You can't start a screensaver in NT based systems as a screensaver =
manually. It's just an ordinary program that draws pretty things when =
started manually.

This works fine for simply getting the screen saver to start. How do I get
this to work so security kicks in? Office used to provide a program on it's
own quick launch toolbar that could be dragged to the desktop to do this.
The screen saver started with screen saver locking in place. Isn't there a
program to do this?
