Default Add New Printer Wizard

Right then.
I have tried everything suggested here on this Newsgroup
to try and stop the Add New Printer Wizard appearing
twice everytime I boot up.
I've had this problem for months and it's annoying.
I've done things to the BIOS, drivers, printer spooler,
reinstalled this and that, etc etc etc.....
Everything, and I mean everything has not worked.
Would a reinstall of Windows XP work? Would all my files
and settings be okay still?

Any help to stop me slowly losing my mind would be VERY
MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks..
Ian.

Go into the BIOS and change the LPT port settings to EPP.

Perhaps you didn't read my message properly. I've tried
EVERYTHING. The LPT port setting has always been set to
EPP.
Any more ideas?
Ian
